In order to become a franchisee of a Condado Taco restaurant, there are certain mandated requirements, including the specification of ASTM 123 standard hot-dip galvanized steel to be used in building construction for corrosion protection, durability and sustainability.
Outdoor seating is a big part of this restaurant’s attraction, which made it very important to the owners and the architect that they also had maintenance-free decorative fencing and railing for the outdoor dining area. Along with the main structural steel components, the aesthetic of the galvanized steel used on the railings, lintels and rebar of the patio area gave the restaurant a southwestern appearance to tie into the type of food they serve.
The corrosion protection was beyond anything they could have hoped for. So much so, it has become a staple for all of the steel in all of their restaurants.
