The Hudson River Park Gansevoort Peninsula width is much wider than other Hudson River Park’s typical piers. Architects were able to build a 250’ x24’ small dog park in the center of the Peninsula. This dog park was much desired by the local New York residents. The small dog run is equipped with water features, climbing features and artificial grass for the dogs to enjoy outdoor exercise. The dogs and their owners will be able to socialize with other dogs and dog owners. This new public space will enrich the lives of thousands of dog owners over future generations. A Dog Park like this plays a pivotal role in improving the health and well being of the New York community, offering a sanctuary space from the hustle and bustle of the New York City lifestyle.
This project was fabricated and installed by Yaboo Fence of West Nyack, NY for FE Industries.
“Twenty-five years ago, Hudson River Park was a big dream, and Gansevoort was an even bigger one. Converting this former sanitation facility into the sparkling public open space it is today has been a decades-long endeavor.”
Galvanized Orsogril fence panels at 4ft tall and a total 548/LF super strong coating layer for the ultimate chew protection from inside or outside and very small openings make getting teeth into it virtually impossible and its heavy weight adds even more dig protection. Orsogril fence panels were galvanized to reduce rust and corrosion. As its durability, low cost, less maintenance and security, Orsogril has been an important member of the dog park. The heavy gauge panels guarantee the solid structure and ensure the dogs can't tear or break the fence panels. Galvanizing prevents corrosive attacks from all weather, dog urine and feces.
